Be one of the first to play FIFA 2005 at Game Stars Live this September.
Game Stars Live, to be held in London, is being touted as the biggest gaming event the UK has ever hosted. It runs from the September 1-5, and once you're in you get to play loads of games that haven't been released yet such as FIFA 2005 and Total Club Manager 2005.
Tickets are £10.00, but if you sign up with the password "eagames" you can get two tickets for the price of one.
Gameplanet are claiming that FIFA 2005 could very well be the best football game to date in their in-depth preview. The preview mainly discusses the gameplay of the game, saying that it may not only match PES4 but could even topple it in that area where PES has had the stranglehold for so long now.
"FIFA 2005 is the best football game we've ever played. That's right, the series that has the most licenses now has more gameplay to boot, and while we don't doubt Konami will once again emerge with another groundbreaking title this year, it's going to take some doing to beat what EA has been doing."
If you're still sceptical about the hype surrounding FIFA 2005 then Gameplanet's preview is well worth a read.
Gamespy are the latest games site to get their hands on FIFA 2005. Here's a little bit of what they had to say:
"Not only has the picture itself been color corrected to appear more like a broadast, even the grass has been reworked to appear more like the real thing. With better textures and sharper contrasts between the varied mowing patterns, the field has never looked better."
They also talk about how the first touch will change the game, along with discussing a new lobbing system. Click here for the full preview.
The FIFA 2005 official site has confirmed which leagues will be in FIFA 2005, along with posting new screenshots of the game which is set for release in October. To see if your team is included in this year's installment of FIFA, or to view the new screenshots, go to the official site at fifa2005.ea.com.
Update: I have been told there are teams missing from this list that are actually in FIFA 2005. For example, Italian Serie B was missing, and that will be in FIFA 2005. Check back for a complete list at a later date.
After playing FIFA 2005 at E3 not long ago, the staff at Gamespot have been lucky enough to try a later version of the game. They mainly talk about the new "first touch" system, which apparently makes the game play a lot better.
"Largely as a result of the first touch control, the entire match really seemed to move at a quicker pace, and when we were relegated to the bench and watched other people playing it has to be said that the experience wasn't unlike watching a regular match on TV."
Head over to Gamespot's Hands-On for the full article along with a brief video interview with Danny Isaac of EA Sports.
